Barkly Street Dragons & Moonee Valley Cricket Club took a moment during their match yesterday to remember Nigel Cowan Snr. who died earlier in the year. A respected cricket umpire and enthusiast across both clubs over many years. The top side were 0/47 off 5 but we fought back to take 10/99 over the next 27 overs. Their bowlers struck telling blows early but our tail held its nerve and we passed them 8 down! Angus Webb with 51* and 2/27 off 7 was Player of the Match.
